To all prospective home-sellers: I am like you in that I thought my home would sell as-is. My wife and I had lived in it making many improvements along the way and thought it was beautiful. Honestly, I really believe that the pointers you gave us when you went through the place on your initial visit probably helped out HEAPS with the way the house looked to the potential buyer. I was very impressed with all of your advice and suggestions -- in many cases I had never thought about the way things *looked* to other people when viewing my "stuff" so to speak, so it was a valuable learning experience. Your message was so pervasive that, even after we had a conditional sale on the house on Saturday, I still went out 1st thing Sunday AM and purchased fresh-cut flowers and green apples to display on the dining room table. Our house sold within 3 weeks. |
